What We Do

The County Coroner is an elected official in county government, elected for a two-year term. The Coroner must be a qualified elector and resident of the county. In the event of a vacancy, the Quorum Court fills it by appointment until the next general election. Before beginning duties, the Coroner must enter into an official bond to guarantee performance of duties.
