Over 200 volunteers turned out for Newport's annual Community Clean Up Day, covering neighborhoods, parks, and roadways across the city. Volunteers collected over 4 tons of trash and debris, planted trees, and refreshed park facilities.

The event was organized by the City of Newport with support from local businesses, churches, civic groups, and Newport School District students.
